Timing Diagram
The following timing diagram shows the situation
for low, intermediate and high RPM's.
At high RPM's (>900 RPM for 4-cylinder engine)
the Tachometer performs at its best, because the Pulsin command gets its result very quickly. This means that the
Display Refresh Interval and the Sample Interval are both very regular.
At intermediate RPM's (300 to 900 for 4-cylinder
engine) performance is still good, however the Sample Interval is extended and
some samples are skipped to allow the Display to refresh on time.
In practice this won't really make much difference.
At low RPM's both the Sample Interval and Display Refresh Interval are extended by the execution time of Pulsin. In practice this will probably not be too much of an issue because everything has slowed down anyway.
